It gives me immense joy in announcing the publication of my debut novella, Seeking Leora. My book embodies elements of adventure, fantasy, suspense, and philosophy. Back in December 2021, an emotion germinated in my heart. Over a period of months, a story was formulated to depict a woman’s journey seen through a woman’s eyes. I feel a lady comprehends the psyche of another in a profound manner. However, I have come across male authors who have tastefully presented women characters as having great fortitude and intellect. Having said that, you do have a contradicting section of the gender that might state the “obvious.” I believe there is more to a woman than an hourglass figure and a killer smile with the agenda of a wily temptress (although that does constitute a lethal combination, in addition).
I have strived to capture the odyssey of a woman and her evolution over the years. It doesn’t matter in which part of the world we belong; women experience similar emotions and situations. Life throws us successive punches, yet we do manage effective comebacks. The plights endured are to be considered just as much. Furthermore, my story also delves into a mother-daughter dynamic and its developmental trajectory. For women and men who have embraced their sensitive side (and others in the process of exploration), I urge you to give it a read. Understanding a woman is as possible as sighting a unicorn. Nevertheless, with my book, you are welcome to try it.
Over the past year, with my debut book published, I have learnt and grown as a writer and will continue so. I have encountered such talented wordsmiths on WordPress and I get inspired to develop my skill. There is so much to envelop and appreciate about this form of art.
